Katmai is Hiring a Recruiter Near Kansas City, MO

Job Description:

Responsible for delivering entry-level clerical and administrative support candidates into the workforce, while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the selection process, in accordance with Katmai’s hiring strategy. The Recruiter will perform full life cycling recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates and the community at large.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
  • Conduct recruitment trips, job fairs, career days, and other recruiting activities, as required and requested.
  • Stay current with knowledge of employment regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, applicable laws, and employment legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
  • Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, cold calls, social media, recruiting firms, and employee referrals.
  • Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits and job or career opportunities.
  • Screen and refer applicants to hiring personnel in the organization; make hiring recommendations when requested.
  • Extend offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring manager and within the guidelines of Katmai’s employment and compensation policies.
  • Maintain recruitment logs for Affirmative Action Plan(s).
  • Work cooperatively with all members of the staffing team to develop and implement staffing plans and activities.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing or related field.
  • 2-5 years full lifecycle recruiting clerical and/or administrative support staff.
  • Relevant work experience will be considered, on a year to year basis.

Special Skills:

  • Computer skilled, with advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint, Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment and selection.
  • Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform via written, oral and visual media.
  • Knowledge of appropriate procedures for handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and build positive business relationships.
  • Ability to recruit for broad/deep range of positions.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management and workforce groups verbally or in written format.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Proven ability to exercise mature judgment – specifically in recognizing and respecting the confidential nature of corporate and personnel matters.

Travel:

CONUS travel is not expected but may be required.

Driving Requirements:

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy.

Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 15%.
